Surprise!
For someone who loves clothes and makeup as much as I do, I am really late getting into the whole "What Not to Wear" TV show. Up until two weeks ago, I didn't have cable, and let me tell you - now I can't hit the sheets at night without watching one of the episodes on the DVR. I record every single one, even the old ones. A girl has to catch up, right? And now - I have a total girl crush on Carmindy. She's just so cute and I love her quirky style - and I swear she is walking sunshine. If you know me at all, you know I don't normally say things like that, but it's true. She's just so positive and sweet, and when she tells one of the women on the show that they are beautiful, she means it. Truly, deeply means it. I just think she's the coolest. (Like, totally!) I checked out her book, "Get Positively Beautiful: The Ultimate Guide to Looking and Feeling Gorgeous." It's a great guide for anyone who feels intimidated and daunted by makeup and wants simple, positive instruction from someone who knows what they are talking about. So for one of our lucky readers, I have a hardcover copy for you! Please leave a comment on this post up until Thursday at noon to win. And this time we're going to do it a little different - leave as many comments as you want. No limit. We will announce the winner Friday before noon. Good luck! Thanks for reading!

I would love love love to have this book--I hadn't even heard of it till now but, OH if I could win I would put it to such good use.
(and if you must know, I have had a girl crush on Carmindy for years myself:)

Sounds like a fun book! :)
she is my favorite part of the show!
and, I need all the help I can get with make-up and the like. My mom never wore so I never did. I hit 30 this year, though, and decided it was time :) Besides, I have four girls to be an example for. Not that I want them to think they have to cake it on, but that a simple routine can help you feel better
AND, seeing as two of my daughters are Asian, with very deep set eyes, I worry about how to help them when they get to that age as I can barely do my own eyes
Oh Carmindy, I love her she's so sweet! And you're right, she's very very honest. I had no idea she had a book thanks!
And might I also add, I CAN'T BELIEVE YOU HAVEN'T BEEN WATCHING THE SHOW SINE IT'S CREATION! My husband and I (yes the hubby too, he likes it) have been watching it for years.
I have to second the notion of surprise, I don't even have cable and manage to catch here and there for years now. Just when people have been through the wringer, Carmindy is there at the end to make them see the beauty that was always there and to send them on their way confident of who they are
I love her too, pick me!!!
That is pure sin that you haven't been watching! I love this show! I use their tips all the time!
I love Carmindy too! And often I wish I dressed way worse on the show so that I can be nominated and get on the show so she can show me how to apply makeup.
My mom doesn't wear makeup either so I still haven't learned what to do with myself. I don't wear foundation because I don't like it or I just haven't found one that works for me.
Can you tell I am really excited about this book!
BTW, I check your blog EVERYDAY! I love hearing about what works and what doesn't and I can't wait to see you ladies when we move back in August! You should totally have a class at your house...for me! lol
OK, last one! Thank you so much for doing this blog! It has helped me to actually be excited to wear makeup and find something new to wear! You're awesome!
I love her too!
She's my favorite part of the show, too!! I'd love to read her book!
I have often uttered the words "Stacy would not approve" when referring to clothes before
I love that show as well! I didn't know she had a book out, but I can always use help in this department... I tend to be boring and stick with the same thing everyday. I need to change things up a bit!
I love Carmindy! She's hands down my favorite part of that show. And I've been watching it forever. Love it!
The book looks great, and the show is flipping fantastic. It's comfort TV for me, even if I have seen the episode 20 times already.
Ooo... Pick me! Please!
Hope I win it! :)
I love her too! I didn't even know this book existed until now, but I could REALLY use it. If I don't win I'll definitely have to check around for it.
I also did not know this book existed... wonder if they have it at my library....hmmm, that is if I don't win of course. :) I have always said if I was on the show (I'd go in a heartbeat) I would want some of the $ to go makeup shopping with Carmindy....what good is a new wardrobe without the perfect makeup?
The show is a perfect mix of everything...who wouldn't want to clothes shop with Stacy and Clinton, Get their hair done by Nick and makeup done by Carmindy?
As Stacey says, "SHUT UP!"
Not having cable, I really need to catch up on this! Would love the book. Thanks for the giveaway.
Wow, I didn't know this book was out either, but it looks great (just like your website), and I'd love a copy!
I just found your blog through MMB. I LOVE the show What Not to Wear, but don't have cable. I only get to watch it when I visit my parents, which is once or twice a year. I'd love the book!
I know nothing about make-up. At all.
I was such a tomboy when I was a kid that I refused all of my mom's efforts to teach me. Now I'm just embarrassed and don't dare ask.
Def. one of my favorite shows ever . . . and Carmindy always inspires to actually do my makeup and feel good about myself. Gotta love her!
I miss this show! I loved watching it when I had cable. :o) So much good advice.
I LOVE What Not to Wear! If I had cable, I'd watch it all the time!
I've wanted this book forever . . . and I'm just too cheap to buy it myself. :p
Me again!
Oh and me too ;)
2nd try, PICK ME!! I would love to win this book.
