Soap and Glory Scrub Your Nose In It and Flake Away

Photobucket
How could you not love the Soap and Glory packaging, first of all? It's just so fun and retro and pink. (Also, the model on a lot of the packaging looks very much like Lucille Ball - and I totally love her. I even named one of my cats Lucy.) You can learn a wee bit more about the line created by Marcia Kilgore, also founder of Bliss Spa, by clicking here. Or, you know, Google her. But for now, let's just discuss these two exfoliating products. The first one, Scrub Your Nose In It, I read about in Lucky Magazine. They loved it and quite sang its praises. It can be used as a scrub, or left on a bit longer as a clay mask. Because I find it impossible to resist budget friendly suggestions from Lucky Mag, I immediately bought some. At first, I was ever so slightly turned off because it looked like Comet - the kitchen, bleachy cleaner stuff (and smelled like, or at least it seemed to - perhaps it was a hallucination due to the color.) But after I used it one time, I absolutely loved it - Comet look/smell be darned. It is absolutely not harsh, and it really did make my face so soft and smooth. If I am having a breakout, I'll use it as a mask, and it helps tremendously. Mind you, I'm not saying it completely eliminates the breakout - but it definitely makes things look a lot better.

Because I had such good success with the face scrub, I then decided to try one of the body scrubs, called Flake Away. Love. It really gets all the yucky dry skin build-up to bow down and head out of town. (Wow, that rhymed. I wasn't even trying.) It smells divine and feels wonderful. My skin was so soft - and it lasted for days. Usually after using a scrub, I feel the results for maybe a day, but this just kept things smooth. My only complaint is I can't buy these as fast as I can use them.
